IA Interstate Railroad Retaining Walls - November 18, 2016
The IA Interstate Railroad Retaining Walls project site is located near the intersection of 5th Avenue and 40th in the heart of Rock Island, Illinois. The Happy Day Bridge structure was constructed around 1906 to 1909. The Bridge structures were infilled with retaining walls to lessen the pressure on the foundation and the new retaining walls are approximately 14 feet high. Our crew at Miller Trucking & Excavating worked around the clock to get the railroad back on the tracks.
